Ostomy is a surgical procedure that aids a person that has lost normal function of digestive or urinary systems due to lineage defects, colorectal cancer, bladder cancer, Chron’s disease, ulcerative colitis, and other medical conditions. Both Ms. Ryan and the Board of Selectmen hopes that zone communities will join together to work to erase the myths, stigma and embarrassment that are sometimes associated with having an ostomy.
